Food ~ Friends ~ Life
Hello and a very warm welcome to 'A Slice of Cherry Pie'.
I'm Julia and this is my blog, which is dedicated to my love of food. I live in England and I’m a self-taught cook who’s passionate about good food and home cooking.
To me, good food and home cooking is all about comfort, pleasure, indulgence, relaxation, looking after body and mind, creating a home and welcoming friends.
I love hearing from you so please do feel free to comment on anything you read here, or drop me an email.
I hope you enjoy your visit here!

I love this. I've seen three top chefs on the same programme all make their omellettes differently.
Very nicely done, Julia - well filmed and good commentary. Agree with AV above - it's fascinating to see how many ways there are to cook an omelette!
Omelettes are my weekend special treat to myself. Although when I make them, they very often looked like the "Apple Crumbles special scramble". Still good.
Hi all, yes it is really interesting to see all the different ways. I often make a frittata too which is really filling and another good way of using up leftovers.
