An Easter Egg for Grown-ups with Good Taste
Do you prefer dark chocolate or milk chocolate? Well it doesn’t matter with Hotel Chocolat's Signature Egg, as you get the best of both worlds with half the shell being dark and the other half milk.
You may recall my previous post about Hotel Chocolat. Having already tried this delicious chocolate I couldn't wait to try their Signature Egg. And they didn't disappoint. The shell is made from exceptionally thick chocolate, and as with all their products, this is real chocolate; the dark chocolate is 72% and the milk 40%.
When you open up the egg the sweet, deep chocolate smell is intoxicating. Close your eyes and breathe it in and you’re in chocolate heaven. Inside are fabulous little eggs that are so pretty and beautifully hand decorated it seems a shame to bite into them. But of course that thought leaves my head almost as soon as it enters it. The chocolate eggs are filled with smooth and creamy champagne and liqueur truffles such as kir royale, bellini and rum. And wow, those are some generously boozy chocolates!
This really is a special egg; perfect for that special someone this Easter.

Hi Julia! I used to be a member of Hotel Chocolat's club about 3 years ago. We were sent a box of their designer chocs every month and me, my husband and my mum would sample them and then we would survey them but I found them a bit samey after a while. The Easter egg however was great although if they reduce them to half price the day AFTER easter which is somewhat peeving!

I used to belong to their chocolate of the month club and I really did enjoy tasting the variety of choccies that arrived like clockwork every month through my mail slot. There was a blueberry one that was to die for. I did find though, like the other commentator that after about 9 months or so they got same same and so suspended my deliveries...but I may have to get one of these eggs though. It looks fantastic!
I'll vouch for the eggs being delicious. They've gone all out on promotion recently, too, so we should be seeing a lot more of their high quality chocolate.

Hotel Chocolat choccie eggs are the best.
The rest of their chocolates aren't bad either - esp. the caramel drops!
Gotta love Easter especially being a chocoholic myself.
